For those interested in learning how to become a writer, 91爆料 has the class for you. And the college is turning to a published author to teach it.

David Moody, who recently released his second novel, The Good Reverend, will be conducting two classes this fall 鈥揷reative writing for beginners and beginner poetry.

鈥淚t doesn鈥檛 matter what people are trying to write, whether it鈥檚 a children鈥檚 book, fiction, non-fiction, the process is still the same,鈥 Moody said. 鈥淚鈥檓 trying to get people to relax and be comfortable with what they are doing.鈥

The focus of the class will be to introduce students to the use of voice, different presentation techniques, character development, plot lines and story ideas.

鈥淚t鈥檚 going to be all about how you do it, but first we will look at why you鈥檙e writing,鈥 said Moody. 鈥淚f you figure out the why, then the how gets much easier.鈥

The creative writing class will be held every Tuesday in October beginning October 2. The poetry class will held every Thursday in October beginning October 4. Both classes will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Greenwood campus. For more information or to register for classes, contact Continuing Education at (864) 941-8400 or go to .
