Each year, Grainger offers scholarships of $2,000 each at participating community colleges in the United States. In addition to the scholarship, Grainger provides a complete set of tools to students after they graduate to help them launch a successful career.

For 2018, Hester is one of 116 scholarship recipients from 68 community colleges participating in Grainger鈥檚 Tools for Tomorrow program.

鈥淐ollege scholarships are more important than ever before,鈥 said PTC President Dr. Ray Brooks. 鈥淭hey allow most of our students to graduate debt-free, which is a huge advantage as they embark on their professional lives. The generosity of companies like Grainger helps make a college education affordable for our students, and we are extremely grateful.鈥

Since 2006, Grainger has donated more than $4.5 million to support technical education. Half of the scholarships offered are earmarked for veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.

鈥淕rainger is passionate about creating positive change and building a strong workforce in the communities where we live and work,鈥 said Ramona Brown, operations manager of Grainger鈥檚 Greenville branch. 鈥淭hrough the Tools for Tomorrow scholarship program and our relationship with 91爆料, we are proud to do our part in helping qualified technical education and public safety students like Alexander graduate and start successful careers.鈥
