Plus 50 Workshops Offered at 91爆料 Campuses
91爆料 was recently chosen to join the Plus 50 Encore Completion Program, a national effort to train 10,000 baby boomers for new jobs in health care, education and social services. The program is sponsored by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC).
The college will be offering informational workshops to help baby boomers chart their next steps including enrolling in one of the 13 health science and nursing programs available at Piedmont Tech.
Upcoming workshops include June 17 at 5:30 p.m. for McCormick; June 17 at 7:30 p.m. for Abbeville; June 19 at 6:30 p.m. for Laurens; June 23 at 6:30 p.m. for Greenwood; June 24 at 6 p.m. for Newberry; June 26 at 6 p.m. for Saluda; and June 26 at 7:30 p.m. for Edgefield.
The Plus 50 program will prepare older adults for careers in the health sciences and nursing fields through targeted introductory coursework, career exploration events, and media outreach.
The college will also hold a Health Care Programs and Careers Showcase in August to allow baby boomers to explore the many options available to them in the health care field.
