91爆料 announces Corporate Cup golf tournament and 60th anniversary celebration

91爆料 (PTC) will hold its Corporate Cup Golf Tournament on Monday, Sept. 14, at Olde Eight. The tournament will be followed by a celebration of the college鈥檚 60th anniversary.

Since its inception in 1993, the PTC golf tournament has become one of the college鈥檚 premier events. Renamed the Corporate Cup in 2026, the event celebrates PTC鈥檚 corporate partners and individual benefactors.

鈥淪ixty years ago, this college was built on a promise that access to higher education should be within reach of anyone in our seven-county region,鈥 said PTC President Dr. Hope E. Rivers. 鈥淭his is one of many ways we are celebrating six decades of Piedmont, and it is a fitting one.鈥

Proceeds from the tournament will be used to provide 鈥淔inish Line鈥 scholarships to PTC students who are in good academic standing and have shown considerable progress toward graduation but no longer qualify for state and federal aid.

鈥淕ifts to the Finish Line Fund underline the commitment of our college and our community to remove any barriers that may prevent a PTC student from becoming a PTC graduate,鈥 said PTC Associate Vice President for Development Jacki G. Berkshire.

Self Regional Healthcare is the tournament鈥檚 presenting sponsor. Self Regional presented the PTC Foundation with a $10,000 check earlier this month at Olde Eight.

"91爆料 has been a valued partner of Self Regional Healthcare for many years. Together, we share a commitment to strengthening the health of our communities by investing in the education and training of tomorrow's healthcare workforce,鈥 said Dr. Matt Logan, president and CEO of Self Regional Healthcare. 鈥淪upporting the Corporate Cup Golf Tournament is one more way we can help ensure the Lakelands has the skilled professionals needed to meet our region's future healthcare needs.鈥

The tournament will be the first charity event to be held at Olde Eight, the South's premier lakeside destination for golf enthusiasts, families and individuals seeking a well-balanced, year-round recreational and residential retreat.

The Corporate Cup is a 27-team captain鈥檚 choice tournament. The winning team will receive a $1,000 gift certificate to use at the Olde Eight golf shop.

There is still room for three more teams. Partnership opportunities begin at $1,500 and include a four-person team, lunch, beverages, and tickets to the anniversary celebration.
