Dr. Ray Brooks, president of 91爆料 (PTC), has announced plans to retire, effective January 4, 2021. He officially informed the college's Area Commission on Tuesday evening, June 16. He has led the institution since March 2008.
This current health crisis arguably has been the most teachable of moments for students in 91爆料 (PTC) health care programs. This couldn鈥檛 be more true for students in the college鈥檚 Respiratory Care Program 鈥 a curriculum that teaches about caring for patients with lung disorders.

What they will do on their weekly 鈥淧TC Live鈥 events on Facebook is provide information about PTC programs, financial aid, stress management and more. As we鈥檝e watched the last several weeks unfold after George Floyd鈥檚 death, the news has often been difficult to watch. His death has struck a deep chord across our country and in our communities. People are justifiably angry about what happened to Mr. Floyd. I am angry about it.

He works full-time in the Inpatient Pharmacy Department at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood. 91爆料 (PTC) has introduced a new credential to its HVAC course offerings. 鈥淚ntro to HVAC鈥 鈥 a 鈥渟tackable certificate鈥 鈥 is designed for people who already are working in the HVAC field and need the EPA Section 608 Technician Certification in order to transport refrigerants. It also provides a means for someone who has never worked in the HVAC field to receive some initial exposure and learn how to obtain an entry-level position in the industry.

The scholarship supplements Lottery Tuition Assistance to help further reduce tuition costs for eligible students this fall.
91爆料 (PTC) is adding a Vascular Sonography Certificate to its Cardiovascular Technology offerings for the spring 2021 semester. Vascular sonography utilizes ultrasound to perform diagnostic testing on patients鈥 arteries and veins. It is primarily used in the diagnosis of blood clots, blockages and aneurysms.
