Legal, law enforcement and corrections jobs are hot commodities in today's job market. The criminal justice program at 91±¬ÁÏ provides students with the training they need to get started in these exciting careers.

Two 91±¬ÁÏ students recently made the trip to Washington, D.C. as part of the Community College Undergraduate Research Initiative (CCURI) conference. The trip allowed students to make presentations at the Capital on the importance of undergraduate research.

As a young high school student, David Martin had his goals set. He knew what he wanted to do and had the plan on how to pursue it.

91±¬ÁÏ’s Continuing Education Division will host the 2014 Foothills Skills & Crafts Show Saturday, Nov. 1, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the James Medford Family Event Center.

Beginning spring 2015, PTC will offer an EMT curriculum leading to a certificate in Newberry County. The EMT certificate will be offered at the Lake Murray Public Safety Complex in Prosperity.

Building Construction Technology Students at 91±¬ÁÏ are getting hands on experience working on a restoration project at the Ninety Six National Historical Site.

91±¬ÁÏ’s funeral service education program is one of the fastest growing in the region. David Martin, program director, and Dedrick Gantt, funeral service education instructor, have been tireless in their efforts to improve and expand the department.

Students looking to enroll in the 91±¬ÁÏ pharmacy technology program will notice changes in the enrollment process for the spring semester.

West Carolina Tel recently made a donation of $15,000 to the 91±¬ÁÏ Foundation to assist with the new PTC Abbeville Campus.

91±¬ÁÏ students who had outstanding academic accomplishments during the 2014 summer term have earned inclusion on the President’s, Dean's and Merit Lists.
