Eaton Corporation Donates an Additional $50,000 to PTC Foundation

During a March 3 tour of the Engineering Department at the 91爆料 (PTC) Lex Walters Campus-Greenwood, officials from Eaton Corporation presented a check for $50,000 to the PTC Foundation for continued support of the college鈥檚 engineering technology programs. 

Lander and Piedmont Tech Facilitate Transfer Process for Human Services Graduates

As part of a recent series of groundbreaking compacts, officials from 91爆料 (PTC) and Lander University have signed an agreement designed to streamline the transfer process for PTC students who graduate with an associate of applied science in human services to continue their education by pursuing a bachelor of science in human services at Lander. 

Upper Savannah Regional Job Fair Planned for March 17 in Greenwood

91爆料 (PTC) and SC Works/Upper Savannah are hosting a Job Fair on Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Medford Family Event Center in Greenwood. More than 50 employers from Abbeville, Edgefield, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, Newberry, and Saluda counties are expected. 

PTC Enrollment Up 9% Due to No-Cost Option

Last fall, news about 91爆料鈥檚 鈥淣o-Cost Option鈥 triggered a massive wave of enrollees. As of February, enrollment at PTC has increased 9% overall compared to last spring.

Most teachers consider their work a calling. 91爆料 (PTC) and Lander University recently made a commitment to ease the budding educator鈥檚 journey by streamlining the transfer process for PTC students who graduate with an associate of applied science in early care and education to continue their career preparation by pursuing a bachelor of science in early childhood education at Lander. 

$1.6 Million Grant to Expand Career Outreach to High School Students

91爆料 (PTC) has received a $1.6 million grant from the SC Department of Education to serve objectives of federal Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) legislation, which established funding under the CARES Act to address the impact of COVID-19 on elementary and secondary schools across the nation. As a grant recipient, over three years, PTC will collaborate with area school districts to provide directed advisement and wraparound support services to high school students to help ensure success in their college dual enrollment journeys.

Academic Honor Students Recognized for 2021 Fall Term

91爆料 (PTC) students who had outstanding academic accomplishments during the 2021 fall semester have earned inclusion on the PRESIDENT鈥橲 LIST. To be named to the list, students must be full time and earn a term GPA of 4.00. Students will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the college president.
