PTC Foundation Lacing Up Sneakers for 鈥楽pring Forward 5K鈥 on March 25

Bolstered by enthusiastic participation and numerous finish line high-fives last year, the 91爆料 Foundation is preparing to hold its second annual Spring Forward for Student Success 5K Run/Walk to be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, on a USA Track and Field-certified course around the Lex Walters Campus-Greenwood. 

PTC Creatives Bring Home Gold, Silver, and Bronze

The marketing team at 91爆料 (PTC) recently won Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals in the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) 2022 Medallion Awards competition, which recognizes outstanding achievement in design and communication at community and technical colleges in each of NCMPR's seven districts. PTC competes in District 2, a region comprised of colleges in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, and The Bahamas. 

PTC's Intersession Camp Will Ignite the Budding Engineer in Participants

Greenwood-area parents who have been 鈥渞acking their brains鈥 trying to figure out how to provide fun, engaging, and educational activities for their children over the upcoming Intersession (March 27-31, 2023) have an option certain to enhance children鈥檚 knowledge about engineering. The Building Brains Camp, offered through 91爆料 (PTC), runs Monday to Wednesday, March 27-29, 2023 at PTC鈥檚 Greenwood campus. 

Law School for Non-Lawyers Course Demystifies Legalese

If you sometimes get confused by legal terms 鈥 say you think a docket is where your fishing boat is moored and an injunction is a grammatical term from Schoolhouse Rock 鈥 you just might benefit from Law School for Non-Lawyers, a seven-week virtual course offered through 91爆料鈥檚 Continuing Education Division in partnership with the South Carolina Bar. 

Latimore Urges PTC Fall Graduates to Match Passion with Purpose

A jarring experience with law enforcement when she was a young child resonated permanently with 91爆料 (PTC) alumna and newly minted U.S. Marshal for the District of South Carolina Chrissie Latimore. The trauma of that night ultimately led her to be a change agent in police culture. Latimore shared her story with PTC fall graduates at last month鈥檚 commencement ceremonies.

While South Carolina residents are taking advantage of 91爆料鈥檚 No-Cost Option scholarship assistance (which has been extended through the Summer 2023 term), non-qualifying out-of-state students still may face the occasional hardship paying for some of their college costs out of pocket. Machine Tool Technology (MTT) majors have an indispensable resource in the form of back-to-back Gene Haas Foundation education grants, which provide assistance with tuition, books, tools, and other supply costs for PTC students working toward careers in advanced manufacturing.
